AF Survey: Doing Good Index (DGI)

Dear AF Members,

Greetings of peace!

The Association of Foundations (AF) has, once again, partnered with the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS – Hong Kong) to come up with the Doing Good Index that covers 17 Asian economies including the Philippines. The DGI is a groundbreaking study geared towards helping the social sector in Asia grow and thrive. The first Doing Good Index, published in 2018, was very well received and is available at www.caps.org.
In this regard, we request AF members to participate anew in the online DGI survey. This survey will ask for your opinion and experiences on factors determining success for organizations like yours, including the ability to register as a legal entity, to raise funds, to be tax-exempt, and to seek government contracts. Your insights will also be invaluable in highlighting how to best address challenges such as difficulty in raising funds, bureaucratic red tape, and a talent shortage.

Your responses and identity will be kept strictly confidential. The overall findings will be published in 2020 and shared with you. Ultimately, the Doing Good Index hopes to facilitate positive outcomes such as increasing trust, confidence, philanthropic giving, and professionalism in the social sector.

The survey should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. It does not have to be completed in one sitting and your previous responses will not be erased for as long as you will be using the same browser and devise to complete your responses. Please access the survey here: DGI2020.

We would appreciate if you could kindly complete the survey no later than February 28.

Thank you very much for your support and cooperation.

Sincerely,

OMAN JIAO

Executive Director
