The Fundraisers’ Network for Development (FuND Philippines) and TELUS International Philippines Community Board staged a 2-day Proposal Writeshop at the Child and Family Service in Baguio City last April 4 and 5, 2017.
The TELUS Community Board has a small grant facility for projects in the areas of health and wellness, education and sports, and arts and culture. Donations to a maximum of USD 10,000 (most applications will be funded up to USD 5,000, with a maximum of 2 per year funded at USD10,000).
The writeshop walked the participants through an overview of fundraising – principles, concepts, different methods, how to write winning proposals, other funders, and the application processes of TELUS.
The Writeshop was well-attended with forty-six (46) participants coming from Aurora Province, Baguio City, Ifugao, Kalinga, Laguna, Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya/Quirino and Pampanga. Participating organizations were: Asiapro Foundation, Center for Agrarian Reform and Rural (CARRD), Cordillera Green Network (CGN), Daluhay Daloy ng Buhay, Inc, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde – Saint Br Jaime Hilario Institute, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde – School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS), Food for Hungry Minds School, Inc., Health Education Medical Ministry Inc, Helping Hands Healing Hearts, Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities, Jaime V.
