An AF Southern Affaire

AF members Fundación Santiago and JF Ledesma Foundation joined forces together with the San Carlos City Development Board to ink a framework agreement that will best position the City of San Carlos (Negros Occidental) as the country’s Sports & Heritage Tourism premier destination.

In an exercise of collaborative advantage all three institutions will throw-in their core competencies in the advancement of their shared vision.

In his welcome remarks, San Carlos City Mayor Rene Gustilo expressed his conviction that the joint undertaking will awaken the interest of his city’s youth for their History and Heritage.

Falling short from unveiling the re-branding of the City, Congressman Valmayor, underscored the central role of indigenous perspectives on sustainability and identity in an era of Local Tourism.

While JF Ledesma Chairman, Archbishop Tony Ledesma heralded the many events & activities lined in the adjunct Plan of Action, Negros Occ. Gov. Bong Lacson highlighted the synergy bound to be generated by the coming together by likeminded institutions from the Private & Public sectors, whether profit oriented or not for profit.

Finally, Fundación Santiago Chairman -Pedro E. Roxas- reminded the dinner attendees that this understanding was actually the written formalization of many years of cooperation in such varied fields as Financing, Housing, Historical Awareness, and Sports between and among JF Ledesma Foundation, Fundación Santiago and the men & women, young and old of San Carlos City, particularly those who have less in life.       

The aforementioned 5-year framework agreement was signed in the Mactan Shangri-La hotel on the evening of October 3, 2022.
