There have been many successful development projects implemented on the ground, but there is much more that can be done and with greater impact through collaborative work. In this regard, the Association of Foundations (AF) and the Partnership of Philippine Support Service Agencies (PHILSSA) would like to invite you to a forum on Government and CSO Initiatives on Poverty Reduction. Representatives from the Office of the Vice-President (OVP) and the Zero Extreme Poverty 2030 (ZEP2030) movement will share with us their respective programs and undertakings, particularly in the areas of education, health, housing, and rural development and food security.
Among the confirmed resource persons are OVP representatives Mr. Philip Dy (Chief of Staff) and Ms. Geoann Hernandez-Yang (Head, Anti-Poverty Advocacies and Programs Unit) who will discuss further the Angat Buhay Program which was launched during the Partnerships Against Poverty Summit last October 10. ZEP2030 will be represented by Mr. Ben Abadiano, President of Assisi Development Foundation (ZEP2030 lead convenor) who will provide updates on the collective impact that the movement wants to achieve towards the attainment of the sustainable development goals by the Year 2030.
The forum will be held on November 8, 2016 from 9am to 5pm at Conference Rooms 5 & 6, Institute of Social Order (ISO), Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.
This forum is the NCR-Luzon leg of the ongoing Social Development 2016 (SocDev2016) Lecture Series – a part of the larger SocDev2016 Celebration spearheaded by the Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO).
There is no registration fee but interested participants are requested to kindly confirm their attendance by filling-up the Reply Form and sending it back to the AF Secretariat either by fax at (02) 911-9792 or 913-7231, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than November 4, 2016.
