In an online ceremonial signing on September 9, 2022, Philippine Business for Education, represented by Director for Workforce Development Justine Raagas, and the local government of Arteche through Mayor Roland Boie Evardone, formalized their partnership to implement JobsNext, a project funded by the Citi Foundation. The project aims to provide industry-relevant skills training programs for the youth to gain the knowledge and competencies needed to take on jobs of the future. Through this partnership, the Municipality of Arteche will facilitate the implementation of JobsNext Project in their area. With the assistance of the Arteche Public Employment Services Office (PESO), qualified youths will be identified, screened, and matched to take skills training programs relevant to jobs of the future. The PESO will also spearhead enrollment to employment (E2E) matching once the trainees complete the training programs.

PBEd recognizes the goal of Arteche to bring progress to its people, as evidenced by their ongoing projects and partnerships, including being a partner LGU of the Zero Extreme Poverty 2030 (ZEP 2030) Movement. The online event was also attended by the Association of Foundations’ Gina Estipona (ZEP 2030 Coordinator), Nathaniel Alcantara (Public Employment Service Office Head), Sarah Afable (Tourism Office Head), and the JobsNext Team. For more information about the project and how to partner, JobsNext Team may be emailed at jobsnext@pbed.ph.
