TACURONG CITY, SULTAN KUDARAT – Security Bank Corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, Security Bank Foundation, Inc, (SBFI) turned over two school buildings equivalent to 14 classrooms in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat last December 10, 2021, marking SBFI’s 600th classroom turn-over since the start of the program in 2011.
SBFI donated a two-story, four-classroom school building to Maria A. Montilla Memorial Elementary School (MAMMES), while a two-story, ten-classroom school building was donated to Tacurong Pilot Elementary School (TPES).
“The classrooms donated by Security Bank Foundation will ultimately improve access and quality of learning when the DepEd Division participates in the expanded implementation of face-to-face classes by January of 2022,” said Dr. Miguel Fillalan, Jr., Department of Education (DepEd) Tacurong City Division Officer-in-Charge.
“This humble contribution to the realizations of the hopes of our children will serve as a reminder of the ties that bind Security Bank with the citizens of this city,” says Robert Rebucan, Security Bank Branch Banking Group Area 29 Mindanao 3 Head.
With the completion of 98 classrooms in Digos, Kalibo, Laoag, Naga, San Francisco, San Jose, Santiago, Solano, and Tuguegarao, SBFI would have donated 701 classrooms in 123 schools located in 69 cities/municipalities nationwide – a fitting way to culminate Security Bank Corporation’s 70th Anniversary.
