In May this year, AF rolled out a survey that was designed to inform the 3rd iteration of the Doing Good Index (DGI) which is expected to be released next year and will be known as DGI2022. A total of 150 AF members participated in the survey (representing 72% of the total AF membership). Our partners at the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS) in Hong Kong are currently analyzing data from the survey here in the Philippines and 17 other Asian economies.
While awaiting the release of DGI2022, AF processed the responses to the questions pertaining to the pandemic to get a quick picture of the impact of COVID-19 on Philippine NGOs. Quite expectedly, 7 out of 10 NGOs are negatively affected by COVID-19. Despite this, however, 9 out of 10 NGOs are still directly supporting COVID-19 relief efforts. These and other notable findings are presented in the infographic on the “COVID-19 Impact on Philippine NGOs”. Please see the infographic here.
AF hopes that the information shared through the survey and which was presented in the aggregate COVID-19 impact report will help NGOs strategically plan their respective programs and activities moving forward.
