While NVC continues to provide food and water to some communities in desperate need, the focus has shifted to rebuilding homes and restoring economic activity in affected areas.
Roof repair kits were provided to families whose homes were only partially damaged and NVC has begun building 100 houses for families in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental. The foundation partnered with the Sipalay local government for this undertaking. The LGU determined the building sites and provided a list of potential recipients. These candidates were then validated by NVC. Recipients will be constructing their own homes with help from carpenters from the LGU. Volunteer architects who designed the homes have also committed to overseeing the building project. To learn more about this, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
