Dear AF Members,
Documenting the projects that we implement is imperative. And how best can we do this? Narratives are good, but a picture is worth a thousand words…if only we can capture the right angles within the right frames. Most of us wish that we have and know how to use a good camera for best results, but this could be costly and, sometimes, inconvenient because they can be bulky. Fortunately, we could actually use something that we have all along: a smartphone.
In this regard, we are pleased to invite you to a workshop on photography using smartphones. This will be on November 7, 2017, from 1:30 to 5:30 pm at the Gateway Gallery, 5th Level, Gateway Mall, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City. Our resource person, Mr. Winston Baltazar, has been giving smartphone photography workshops for a number of clients including media people. You may check his Cellphone Photography Philippines FB Group to give you an idea on how to take good photos on cellphones.
For purposes of the workshop, a “smartphone” is any phone that can take photos, play apps, send/receive emails, and surf the internet. It would be good if the unit has been bought within the last 3 years. Participants are required to download the free application called “Snapseed” on the unit that will be used for the workshop. Optional applications that may be downloaded are “Phonto” and “Prisma”.
Please note that there are limited slots. Participants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and there is a registration fee of P1,000.00/person. To register, please fill-up the Reply Form and submit it by fax at 911-9792 or 913-7231 or by email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org on or before 26 October 2017. We will then send a confirmation notice with payment instructions.
Thank you very much!
