Pizza Hut and the Araneta Group was recognized as a Transformer during the One in Motion Event During the USAID’s Opportunity 2.0 Private Sector Summit last 8 October 2022. The recognition was for shaping a shared future with the new generation of workers and entrepreneurs.
J. Amado Araneta Foundation, the social development arm of the Araneta Group, was instrumental to the special citation. Under JAAF’s immersion Link for Enablers and Adapters Program (iLEAP), the Foundation works with USAID’s Opportunities 2.0 Program which supports systems in the Philippines to provide second-chance education to 180,000 out-of-school youth across 15 cities that lead to their successful employment and livelihoods. The enabler partner is Pizza Hut Philippines who immerses qualified OSYs for possible employment. This is part of the brand’s #EqualSliceForAll Program.
Dhea Marie Real is the first graduate of the Araneta Group’s out-of-school youth (OSYs) second-chance learners under JAAF iLEAP. She underwent the internship program at Pizza Hut. After the graduation, she was offered a job, and is now part of the PPI Family. During the One in Motion event, Dea spoke about her experience with the Program. She expressed gratitude to Pizza Hut, JAAF, and the Araneta Group for her second chance experience.
