CEAP Board holds strategic planning for 2023-2026

The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines had its two-day Strategic Planning at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel on January 19-20, 2023. In attendance were the members of the National Board, Chairpersons of various National Committees and Commissions, assisted by the National Secretariat.

During the 2-day workshop the members of the Board reflected on the challenges in philippine and private education which include among others, the issues of learning loss and learning poverty, dwindling enrollment, teacher migration to the public school, the need to lobby for increased government support to private education In the afternoon, They also reflected on the CHALLENGES IN CATHOLIC EDUCATION which include, the need to strengthen Catholic Identity, creating a culture of dialogue in the schools, integral human formation, among others.

CEAP aimed to respond to these challenges by refining its plans for the next three years using its crafted and developed tools, such as: the CEAP Vision, Missions, and Goals, the Philippine Catholic School Standards (PCSS), and the JEEPGY program. The delegation utilized those tools as a subject of discussion that eventually lead to quality and rich forum.

A Board of Trustees meeting was held immediately after the Strategic Planning. There was a consensus to initially review the resolutions and finalize the ones that need approval. It was agreed that the three-year plan will be cascaded to the Association’s network of schools once it passes a series of further refinements.
