Davao Association of Catholic Schools collaborates with Prime Trade Asia for Mindanao Book Fair

The countdown begins for the Mindanao Book Fair as it makes its return to Davao on March 13-15, 2024 at the Arrupe Hall, Ateneo de Davao University, Jacinto St., Davao City.    Book lovers from all walks of life can now prepare to do some serious book shopping in the physical showcase of books to be seen in the Mindanao region.

The Mindanao Book Fair is held in partnership with Prime Trade Asia and the Davao Association of Catholic Schools (DACS), an association of seventy-one (71) non-stock, non-profit private Catholic schools, colleges and universities under the Dioceses of Davao, Digos, Tagum and Mati or the DADITAMA ecclesiastical sub-region located in the six (6) cities and five (5) provinces of Davao. DACS is a member of the Association of Foundations (AF).

The fair aims to promote the love for reading to the Mindanao public. With a wide assortment of books from bestsellers, religious books, textbooks and educational materials under one roof, the fair hopes to be the gathering of bookworms of all ages and walks of life and to celebrate the written and digital word along with the knowledge each book provides.

The Mindanao Book Fair shall feature the latest titles, exclusive discounts., author signings. Other book events await readers of all ages: storytelling sessions, art workshops, book launches, seminars, and the like.

MBF’s co-located event this year is CatholicED Conference: Charting New Frontiers in Catholic Education and Youth Formation in the Digital Age slated on March 16, 2023 at Holy Cross of Davao College.  ConnectED aims to define the significance of Catholic education and youth formation in the midst of rapid changes in the society. Against this backdrop, the “ConnectED CatholicED Conference: Charting New Frontiers in Catholic Education and Youth Formation in the Digital Age” emerges as a guiding force of profound insight and innovation. Esteemed educators, leaders, and advocates will converge to meticulously scrutinize the challenges and opportunities wrought by the dynamic interplay of faith, education, and technology.
