October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Andres Soriano Foundation, Inc., through its Cancer Care Program, provides chemotherapy maintenance medicines to its patient-beneficiaries in partnership with the Cancer Institute. Currently, the Foundation supports 56 breast cancer (stages 2 or 3) patients providing Tamoxifen Citrate for a maximum of 10 years. “Malaking bagay po ang matulungan kami sa pang-araw araw na gamot, nais ko pa pong mabuhay ng matagal, at dahil po sa tulong ng Foundation, nababawasan po ang iniisip ko dahil bukod po sa aking sakit, mayroon pa po kaming ibang iniisip na problema,” [It has been a big help to us receiving our daily medications, I wish to live longer, and with the Foundation’s support, our burdens were lessened, aside from my condition, we are attending to other problems.], according to Gloria Hombrebueno, who is one of the patients supported by the Foundation’s program.
The Andres Soriano Foundation, Inc. Team distributed supplies of Tamoxifen Citrate to its Patient-Beneficiaries on October 17, 2023, in partnership with the Cancer Institute.
