The Banaybanay CSO Network joins the Zero Extreme Poverty 2030 Movement, the first ZEP2030 local convergence in Davao Region. The CSO network is composed of people’s organizations representing farmers, fisherfolks, indigenous peoples, women, and other sectoral groups working closely with the CSO Desk in the Municipality of Banaybanay in Davao Oriental.
ZEP2030 representatives from the Association of Foundations (AF), Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), and Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (PhilDHRRA) facilitated the onboarding meeting with the CSO network on June 8, 2023. The activity coincided with the oath-taking of the new officers of the Banaybanay CSO Network, administered by Mayor Lemuel Ian Larcia.
The participants discussed the most pressing issues and their ways forward to eradicate extreme poverty in the locality. Among their next immediate steps is a detailed orientation on ZEP2030’s processes and tools such as the Poverty Probability Index (PPI) and Family and Community Visioning (FCV).
